We are all conceived in the same way. Sperm penetrates egg—in the darkness of the fallopian tube or in a brightly lit laboratory. A new life comes into existence. After spending months in a womb, a child is born. As the child exits the womb, the baby cries, while those around are filled with joy. Continue reading “Who Deserves What?”

Never the Same Again
Today is Christmas Day – 25 December. Each year is filled with numerous holidays and other commemorative days, but none has as huge a following as Christmas. Continue reading “Never the Same Again”
PVC Wahala
At last, I have collected my permanent voter’s card (PVC). So, by INEC’s rules, I should be able to cast my vote next year, choosing between two sides of a coin. Continue reading “PVC Wahala”
A Time for Thanksgiving
In Church yesterday, the sermon was on “Thanksgiving”. I have listened to quite a number of gratitude-themed messages, but I could not help but think about the pastor’s words. One thing I have learnt and that fascinates me about God’s Word, is its ability to appear fresh every time. Continue reading “A Time for Thanksgiving”

I recently witnessed a scene that made me think about the value different individuals see in the tasks they handle—individuals whose roles in an organisation make them contact persons for people outside that organisation. The world is in shock to learn of the death of Dr. Myles Munroe, a pastor and motivational speaker, whose teachings on leadership, purpose, Christian character, relationships, and many other themes, changed the thinking patterns of millions of individuals around the world.
Sunday Recap 9-11-2014
Last week, I posted a recap of the points I garnered during the Sunday service, with a pledge to do that every Sunday. I assumed it would be a pretty easy task—just return from Church and type. How wrong I was! Thanks to a loveless case of flu, I couldn’t write anything yesterday. Today is Monday, but who says Sunday recap can’t come on Monday morning?
